How the Quota Breakdown Actually Works
This is the part worth understanding before you apply, since it changes how you should think about your odds. Vacancies aren’t pooled into one open national competition — they’re split by category and region:
Senior Assistant (10 posts): 1 Merit, 4 Punjab (including 1 Woman and 1 Non-Muslim Minority seat within that Punjab allocation, plus a separate 1 Woman seat), 3 Sindh (Urban), 2 Sindh (Rural)
Sub Assistant (6 posts): 1 Merit, 2 Punjab, 1 Sindh (Urban), 1 Sindh (Rural), 1 Khyber Pakhtunkhwa
In practice, this means your competition pool is largely other applicants from your same province/category allocation — not the entire applicant list nationwide. Check which quota category you fall under before assuming your odds against the full 10 or 6 seats.
How to Apply
Apply through ECP’s Online Recruitment System (ORS) at ecp.gov.pk or jobs.ecp.gov.pk.
Deadline: within 20 days of the advertisement’s publication date — landing around September 17, 2026.
The IT Training Requirement Isn’t Optional
Both posts require a basic IT training course/certification, government-recognized and affiliated — this is listed as mandatory, not preferred. If you don’t already hold this certification, it’s worth checking how long it takes to obtain one relative to the 20-day application window.
