The Local Government & Rural Development Department, Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, has advertised eleven positions in the Project Coordination & Monitoring Unit (PCMU), established under the Peshawar Revitalization Plan (ADP project). The notice appeared in daily Mashriq on 21 September 2026 (INF(P) 4762/26).
This is not a regular civil service intake. Every post is on a fixed monthly pay basis, initially for six months or till completion/wind-up of the project — whichever comes first, and Term 6 states plainly that the posts stand abolished automatically once the project ends. Anyone applying should treat this as project-duration employment, not a permanent seat.
One eligibility point that will disqualify most outside applicants before qualification is even checked: domicile of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa or the Merged Districts is required. This is a KP-specific recruitment, not open provincewide.

Screening and eligibility notes
Candidates are provisionally allowed to sit the ETEA screening test, but detailed scrutiny of eligibility happens afterward, at any stage — the appointing authority can disqualify someone even after the test if they’re found ineligible on any point. Everyone has to first create a profile on ETEA’s website and get their CNIC verified through NADRA-eSahulat, either online or via any franchise, before applying; without that verification the profile can’t apply at all.
Screening is on the basis of the ETEA-conducted test alone. A foreign degree needs HEC equivalence. Original documents must be produced at the time of interview — don’t submit hard copies at the application stage — and ETEA or the appointing authority may still call for scrutiny copies from qualifying candidates.
Note also: no vacancy numbers are given for any of the eleven posts — the ad doesn’t specify how many seats exist per position, only the qualification and pay for each.
How to apply
Interested candidates apply online at www.etea.edu.pk. After submission, a prescribed deposit slip is generated with a token number, project code and personal candidate information on it — print this and deposit the prescribed test fee (non-refundable) through One Link. After the fee is paid, keep the original deposit slip with the bank stamp; it has to be shared when required.
Test date, time and venue will be mentioned on the Roll No. Slip. Roll No. slips will be sent by SMS from ETEA to download and print, from www.etea.edu.pk — no separate call letter is issued; candidates screen for scrutiny through this slip only.
Application window: the online form is available from 22 September 2026, and the last date for submission is 10 October 2026.
Terms worth flagging before applying
Relaxation of age is admissible per government rules. Candidates already working in Government/semi-government/autonomous bodies must apply through proper channel. Anyone applying for more than one post has to submit a separate application for each. Attested copies of all relevant documents have to be produced at interview time; unattested or incomplete applications, and anything received after the due date, will not be entertained. No TA/DA is admissible for the interview.
Similar development-sector and project-based government vacancies are collected under Government Jobs.
Details above are taken from the PCMU/Local Govt & Rural Development Department advertisement published in daily Mashriq on 21 September 2026. Vacancy numbers per post are not specified in the ad; confirm current status and any updates at www.etea.edu.pk before applying.
