Govt. Technical Training Institute, Baghdad Road Bahawalpur

TEVTA’s Govt. Technical Training Institute, Baghdad Road Bahawalpur, has advertised 4 visiting faculty positions for the 2026-27 academic session. Before anything else, one word in the ad’s own header matters more than usual here: “Purely on Temporary Basis & no any chance for regular.” The institute states this directly — not as a general condition buried in the fine print, but printed right alongside the ad’s title. If you’re hoping a visiting faculty role here might eventually convert to a permanent TEVTA position, the institute explicitly rules that out upfront.

The Four Positions

Instructor (Professional Cooking) (01 post, Male/Female, Bahawalpur Division domicile)

  • Qualification: Graduate in Food Sciences & Technology/Food Science/Nutrition with minimum 1 year experience in relevant trade; OR B.Sc (Home Economics) with minimum 1 year experience in relevant trade; OR DAE Food Technology/DAE Food Processing and 2 years’ experience in relevant field; OR a certified 6-Months Short Course from a Govt-recognized Institute or Internship/OJT certificate from a renowned Hotel, preferably with graduation and minimum 3-4 years’ experience of professional cooking & baking
  • Age: 18–55 years

Junior Trade Instructor (Draftsman Civil) (01 post, Male, Bahawalpur Division domicile)

  • Qualification: DAE in Civil + 1 year experience + Computer Literate; OR Inter + G-II certificate + 6 years’ experience + computer literate
  • Age: 18–40 years

Junior Trade Instructor (Welding) (01 post, Male, Bahawalpur Division domicile)

Notice the Domicile Shifts From Division to District for One Post

Look closely at the domicile column: three of the four posts require Bahawalpur Division domicile — a broader administrative area covering multiple districts. But the fourth post, J.T. Instructor (Home Appliance Repair), specifically requires Bahawalpur District domicile — a narrower requirement than the other three. If you hold domicile from elsewhere within Bahawalpur Division but outside Bahawalpur District itself, you’d be eligible for the first three posts but not this fourth one. Worth checking your exact domicile paperwork against which post you’re applying for.

The Interview Schedule Is Already Fixed — Before You’ve Even Applied

This is worth flagging clearly because it’s easy to miss: the ad prints the exact interview dates and times right at the top, before the position table itself:

  • Junior Trade Instructors: 8/10/2026 at 10:00 AM
  • Instructor Cooking & J.T.I. (Home Appliances Repair): 9/10/2026 at 10:00 AM

This means the entire process, from application deadline to interview, happens within roughly 5 days. Your CV needs to reach the institute by courier or registered post no later than 5/10/2026 at 2:00 PM, and the interview follows just 3-4 days later. There’s very little buffer time here — if you’re applying, plan for a tight turnaround rather than assuming a longer gap between submission and interview like you’d typically see with ETEA-run or portal-based recruitment.

Experience Requirements Follow an “Either/Or” Structure Throughout

Every position offers two distinct qualification routes rather than a single fixed requirement — typically a DAE-plus-shorter-experience path, or an Intermediate-plus-certification-plus-longer-experience path. For example, the Draftsman Civil post accepts either a DAE with 1 year’s experience, or an Intermediate pass with a G-II certificate and 6 years’ experience. If you don’t hold a DAE but have substantial hands-on trade experience and a G-II certification, you’re not automatically excluded — the longer-experience route exists specifically for candidates without the formal diploma.
