The Higher Education Commission has opened seven positions at once. Every one of them is contract-based — HEC ties each post to a specific PSDP-funded project rather than to its regular cadre. That distinction matters more here than in most ads, because the project you join determines your job security, and in some cases, your posting province. Here’s what each position actually asks for.

Where You’d Actually Work
The ad doesn’t name a single job location the way most vacancy notices do. Instead it gives you a quota by province and a list of test centers: Islamabad/Rawalpindi, Karachi, Lahore, Quetta and Peshawar. HEC also states that selected candidates can be posted anywhere in Pakistan, so don’t assume your test city will be your work city. If you’re specifically looking at Islamabad-based openings, our Islamabad jobs category has more current listings.
Money and Paperwork Before You Apply
Every pay figure above is “all inclusive” except the Attendant post, which is listed as a minimum wage rate. Applications go through careers.hec.gov.pk only, and there’s a processing fee of Rs. 1,000, payable through 1Link services using a mobile banking app or wallet, on the same portal. No hard copies of CV or documents are needed.
What Won’t Count Toward Experience
HEC specifically states that part-time, honorary, apprentice and internee experience (as part of study) will not be counted. If your relevant years came through any of these, recheck the numbers before you apply. Five years of general age relaxation is already built into every age limit shown above; no further relaxation will be considered beyond government rules. Anyone currently in government service must apply through proper channel.
Deadline and Contact
Online applications close on 14 October 2026. Incomplete or late applications won’t be entertained. No TA/DA is paid for the test or interview.
