The Department of Aquaculture & Fisheries, Government of Punjab, has advertised seven positions under a development project titled “Establishment of Hatchery Facilities for Pangasius and Other High Value Fish Species” (2024-25 to 2026-28). The advertisement was published in Express around September 19, 2026.
A Genuinely Specific Niche Project
Pangasius is a freshwater fish species increasingly farmed for commercial aquaculture. This project is building out hatchery infrastructure specifically for it and other high-value species — not general fisheries administration. If you’re applying, you’re joining a specialized breeding and hatchery operation, not a typical government fisheries office.

Where You Submit Depends on Which Post You’re Applying For
This is easy to get wrong if you assume one central office handles everything. It doesn’t:
- Fisheries Supervisor and Driver applications go to: Director Fisheries (HM), Punjab, 9-A Bahawalpur Road, Chauburji, Lahore
- Beldars/Fishermen Cum Beldars, Chowkidar, and Sweeper applications go to: Deputy Director Fisheries (Pangasius Breeding), 9-A Bahawalpur Road, Chauburji, Lahore
Both addresses sit on the same road, but they’re different offices handling different posts. Send your application to the wrong one, and it likely won’t reach the right desk in time.
You Must Submit Both Online and Hard Copy
Apply online at jobs.punjab.gov.pk, then separately send a hard copy of the submitted form along with attested photocopies of CNIC, domicile, academic, and experience certificates to the relevant office above.
The ad is explicit about this: if you skip either the online or the hard copy submission, your application will be considered incomplete and won’t be entertained. This isn’t optional — both steps are required.
Deadline: October 6, 2026, within office hours.
Age Relaxation
General age relaxation on the upper limit follows Government of Punjab notification (SORI(S&GAD)9-36/81, dated August 8, 2016): +5 years for males, +8 years for females, calculated as of the advertisement date. This is the same formula we’ve seen on other recent Punjab government postings.
