If you only read the headline of the listing on other sites, you might think these jobs are in Islamabad. They aren’t. The address at the bottom of the ad, Shangrilla Road, E-8, belongs to Bahria University’s head office, where the Directorate of Human Resource sits. Both advertised positions are actually based at the Institute of Professional Psychology in Karachi, so this is a Karachi posting run from an Islamabad HR desk.
Bahria University describes itself in the ad as an initiative of Pakistan Navy, and the notice carries an equal opportunity employer line. Two positions are open, one on the finance side and one on the admissions side.

Reading the accounts requirement closely
The most specific line in the whole ad is the experience requirement for Manager Accounts. It asks for three years or more in the accounts and taxation department of a government, semi-government or autonomous body. That is narrower than general accounting experience. Someone with strong private-sector bookkeeping but no public-sector taxation exposure should think honestly about whether they meet it. The ad also says “preferably” for the professional qualifications, which suggests some flexibility, but the 18-years-of-education alternative has to come from an HEC-recognized university. If you work in this field and want to compare similar roles, our accountant jobs category lists other finance openings we have covered.
Reading the admissions requirement closely
The admissions post is more open. Sixteen years of education or an MBA in Marketing (or equivalent) is the stated minimum, and five years in a reputable organization is only “preferable”. The ad doesn’t define what counts as a reputable organization, and it doesn’t say whether the experience should be in education or admissions specifically. Read the job description on the university website before deciding whether your background fits.
What the ad leaves out
There is no salary, pay scale or age limit, and no number of vacancies. There is also no detail on whether the posts are permanent or contractual. The ad says only that more details and the job description are on the university website. Anything else you may see on other sites about pay or terms is not from this notice.
How to apply
Both the details and the application route are at www.bahria.edu.pk/jobs. The last date to apply is 12 October 2026, and the ad prints this date clearly. It also says only short-listed candidates who meet the requirements of the post will be called for an interview. That means an application which doesn’t match the stated experience is unlikely to go anywhere, so it’s worth checking each line before you submit.
Prepare your degree documents, experience letters and CV in advance. For the accounts post especially, have proof of your government or semi-government experience ready, since that is the requirement most likely to be checked.
