National Police Foundation Islamabad Hires Across Law, Finance, Security and Tech, All on Two-Year Contracts
The National Police Foundation (NPF) published this notice in Dunya on September 30, 2026. It seeks highly qualified professionals for 12 posts at its Islamabad headquarters. Every post runs on a contract basis for an initial two years, extendable on mutual consent and satisfactory performance. Notably, the range is wide: legal advisory sits alongside finance, security operations, housing administration, and software development.
Senior and Specialist Posts
Legal Adviser — 1 post, maximum age 50
Requires LLB from an HEC-recognized university, with enrolment as an Advocate of the High Court or Supreme Court. LLM is preferred, along with 15 years of post-qualification legal practice in government, semi-government, or a reputable law firm.
Director Finance — 1 post, maximum age 50
Needs a Master’s or Bachelor’s (16 years) in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or Business Administration. A CA, ACMA, CMA, or ACCA qualification is preferred. Additionally, candidates need 15 years of post-qualification experience, including at least 8 years in a senior finance position.
Additional Director Security (Operations) — 1 post, maximum age 52
Asks for a Master’s or Bachelor’s (16 years) in Management Sciences, Public Administration, or Security Management. Alternatively, retired Armed Forces officers of Lieutenant Colonel rank or equivalent, or Police/Law Enforcement officers with operational security experience, can also apply. Either way, 15 years in command, security operations, or personnel management is required.
Administrator (Housing Scheme) — 2 posts, maximum age 50
Goes specifically to retired Armed Forces personnel of Subedar-Major rank or equivalent, or retired Police/Law Enforcement personnel of Inspector rank or equivalent. Candidates also need 10 years of experience in housing scheme or estate management.
Deputy Assistant Director Posts (Maximum Age 35)
Five Deputy Assistant Director posts share the same age cap, but each needs a different specialization:
- Marketing — Master’s/Bachelor’s in Marketing or Business Administration, with 2–3 years of relevant experience
- Works — Diploma in Civil Engineering, with 3 years in government-sector civil works or infrastructure projects
- TAS Operations — Master’s/Bachelor’s in Management Sciences or Computer Science/IT, with up to 3 years in testing and examination management
- TAS Development — Same educational base, but up to 3 years in testing systems, CBT platforms, and educational technology
- Finance & Accounts — Master’s/Bachelor’s in Accounting & Finance, with up to 3 years in finance, accounts, or audit
Technology Posts
Senior Software Engineer (TAS) — 1 post, maximum age 45
Needs an MS or MPhil in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or IT, plus over 10 years of experience. The role specifically wants proficiency in PHP (Laravel), MySQL, MSSQL Server, and REST API integration.
Junior Developer (TAS) — 1 post, maximum age 35
Requires a Bachelor’s (16 years) in Computer Science or a related field, with 2–3 years of experience, ideally in application support or payment systems.
Assistant (TAS) — 1 post, maximum age 35
Asks for FA or an equivalent qualification, with a minimum of 6 years of experience.
Why the Age and Rank Requirements Vary So Much
Several posts stand apart from the rest. For instance, Additional Director Security, Legal Adviser, Director Finance, and both Administrator posts explicitly accept retired Armed Forces or Police officers as an alternative to a standard civilian qualification path. Meanwhile, the TAS and marketing roles cap age at 35 and expect a more conventional degree-plus-early-career-experience profile. So, match your own background to the right post before you apply.
General Instructions Worth Knowing
Appointments stay purely on contract for an initial two years, extendable by mutual consent. NPF calculates age up to the closing date, October 15, 2026, and allows a 5-year relaxation as per Federal Government rules.
Both male and female candidates can apply on merit, qualification, and experience. However, NPF does not accept applications by hand, courier, or any channel besides the online portal. Even so, you must still produce hard copies of documents and photos at the interview stage.
Each application costs Rs. 2,000 per post. You can pay it through 1Link 1Bill via any bank, ATM, internet banking, Easypaisa, JazzCash, or UPaisa, using the 22-digit PSID from your fee challan. Since the fee is non-refundable, and separate for each post, budget accordingly if you’re applying to more than one position.
Only shortlisted candidates get a call for test or interview, and no TA/DA applies. If you already work in government or semi-government, you must apply through the proper channel and produce a valid NOC at the interview.
NPF will update you through the application portal, SMS, or email, so check the portal regularly. Additionally, NPF reserves the right to increase or decrease the number of posts, reject any application, or cancel the process entirely, without assigning a reason.
