University of Child Health Sciences, Lahore issued this notice on August 31, 2026. The Registrar’s office wants three specialists on contract basis: two Assistant Professors and one Demonstrator. Notably, only Punjab domicile holders can apply — that restriction is stated upfront, not buried in the terms.

Assistant Professor (Physiology) — BPS-19

- Age: 25–45 years

Demonstrator (Bio-Chemistry) — BPS-17
- Qualification: MBBS (second division) from an HEC-recognized institute or university
- Experience: 1 year relevant experience after house job
- Age: 22–40 years
- Vacancies: 01
Why the Qualification Gap Matters
Notably, there’s a real seniority gap between the two tiers here. Both Assistant Professor posts require a PhD or MPhil, plus four years of research or teaching experience. By contrast, the Demonstrator post only asks for an MBBS with one year of post-house-job experience. Consequently, that gap explains the pay scale difference: BPS-19 versus BPS-17.
Age Relaxation and Fees
The university grants 5 years of age relaxation across the board. However, female candidates get 8 years, per government notification No. SORI (S&GAD)9-36/81 dated 21-05-2012.
As for fees, applicants must submit Rs. 5,000 for the BPS-19 posts, and Rs. 2,500 for the BPS-17 post. Additionally, this fee is payable by bank draft or pay order, non-refundable, in favour of University of Child Health Sciences, Lahore.
Other Terms Worth Knowing
- The university verifies your education and experience certificates before finalizing appointment. Therefore, you bear any costs this verification requires.
- If you hold a foreign degree, you also need an HEC equivalence certificate.
- Government servants, meanwhile, must apply through their department.
- Only shortlisted candidates get called for interview, and no TA/DA applies.
- The authority can cancel, increase, or decrease the number of posts at any stage, without giving a reason.
- Finally, incomplete applications get rejected outright.
